Migrating to Australia - My Journey (Part 2)

The waiting game begins.

I finally completed the last bit of the visa application - medical check-up. I heard if you received an email/call for medical check-up, means you are half way there to getting the visa! :) Let's hope that's true!

Anyways, the medical check-up was quite a breeze, but it took close to 2 hours due to waiting time! Most of the people waiting with me were also there to do medical check-up for visa purposes.

Before going for the check-up, you have to log-in to eMedical and complete your medical history information. Once completed, print the summary report because you will have to bring it with you during the check-up.

Documents required during the medical check-up:
  • Referral Letter for Medical check-up (In the email from your case officer)
  • Summary Report (printed from eMedical)
  • Original Passport
  • 2 copies of photocopy passport
  • If available, other relevant medical reports or previous chest x-rays

The medical check-up includes:

  • Weight & Height
  • Eye Test (Recommended: Wear your spectacles instead of your contact lenses)
  • Blood Test, including HIV Test
  • Doctor Consultation for medical history and body check
  • Chest X-Ray

Price: RM249

And that's it! The test results will be uploaded to eMedical whereby your case officer will access and review from there.

Hope all goes well, fingers crossed!! :)
